Blasts, gunfire attacks kill five in eastern Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (KUNA) -- At least four explosions and a shooting killed five people on Wednesday in different parts of Jalalabad, the capital of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, local Afghan media said.
All of the victims were civilian and the target of these attacks has not yet been ascertained, according to Tolo news.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility.
However, the so-called Islamic State group did say it was behind three blasts in the city that killed two people and wounded 19 others, earlier this month. (end) sbk.sd
