Business improves for German car manufacturers despite coronavirus - IFO

BERLIN, Aug 3 (KUNA) -- Business was better for German car manufacturers and their suppliers in July than the previous month, said Germany's top economic institute IFO on Tuesday.
According to IFO indicator, the industry's business situation rose from plus 44.9 points in June to plus 56.8 points.
This is its highest level since July 2018. Expectations rose slightly from 3.6 points in June to 6.3 points.
Since 2018, German car manufacturing saw a decline, which increased with the advent of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (end) anj.gta
