GCC countries update covid casualties

KUWAIT, July 26 (KUNA) -- GCC member states on Monday updated their lists of the covid deaths and infection cases over the last hours.
In Riyadh, the Saudi health department reported 12 new deaths with covid-19 in addition to 1,252 new infection cases. It also reported that the death toll rose to 8,179 and the tally of the infections reached 519,395.
In Abu Dhabi, the UAE Ministry of Health said in a statement on Monday that it had recorded seven deaths in addition to 1,549 infection cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) past 24 hours.
The death toll related to the pandemic, since its outbreak, has reached 1,927 and the infection cases totaled 673,185.
It also reported 1,510 new recovery cases, with the tally of the healed settling at 650,683.
In Doha, the Qatari public health department recorded 178 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus past 24 hours. It said in a statement that the caseload settled at 225,376.
The health department also reported that 138 of the covid patients were pronounced as cured with the tally of the healed standing at 223,114. (end) kt.rk
