Algerian FM, UN envoy mull developments in Libya

ALGIERS, July 22 (KUNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra and UN Special Envoy on Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Jan Kubis have reviewed the latest political and security development in Libya.
In a press statement on Thursday, the Algerian Foreign Ministry unveiled that the phone talks focused on accelerating efforts to end the political and security crises in the North African nation.
It noted that Minister Lamamra reiterated his country's support to the UN efforts to mediate a national Libyan reconciliation and render the political process a success. (end) mr.ibi
