KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) --

1963 -- The Kuwaiti Artists Society is declared, establishing its' headquarters in Dasmas area.
2003 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signs a decree forming Kuwait's 21st cabinet headed by Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. A new minister is appointed July 29th to make it a 15-strong cabinet.
2008 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signs decree 177/2008 appointing Lieut-General Ali Al-Momen as Minister Plenipotentiary to Iraq, the state's first ambassador since the Iraqi aggression on Kuwait in August 1990.
2008 -- Karateka Hamad Al-Nuwaiem wins goal at the eighth Arab senior Karate tournament in Cairo, Egypt.
2009 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signs decree 149/2009, assigning Advisor Youssef Al-Rushaid as Chief Court of Cassation.
2009 -- Municipal Council elects Zaid Al-Azmi as chief and Shaya Al-Shaya as deputy, at the opening of its 10th term.
2013 -- Kuwait obtains a full membership in the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for a period of six years. In previous years, Kuwait only participated as an observer.
2014 -- Kuwait donates USD 10 million to help Palestinians suffering from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. (end) gta
