Coalition intercepts four drones launched by Houthis on Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH, June 23 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen declared on Wednesday the interception and destruction of four booby-trapped drones launched systematically and deliberately by the "terrorist" Houthi militias to target some Saudi residential areas.
The coalition affirmed that the Houthi militias target continually and deliberately civilians and residential areas, noting that the coalition air defense thwarted all hostile attempts against the Kingdom, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing a tweet by the coalition.
The coalition said that it takes all measures required to deal with the sources of an imminent threat in order to safeguard the civilians and the residential areas, in line with the international humanitarian law and its norms.
Earlier in the day, the coalition announced that its forces intercepted and destroyed the Houthis' drones launched on Khamis Mushait City, south of Saudi Arabia. (end) nsa.mmj.hm
