TUNIS, June 23 (KUNA) -- Rising temperature in early June brings joy to farmers who are not only awaiting wheat harvesting season but also a relief that the harvest would pay off.
Farmers flock to the fields to reap the golden-color wheat, a grand prize that worth the wait.
Harvest of grain in Tunisia this year is estimated at 17 million quintals, or 1.7 million tons, compared with 15 million quintals last year. Agriculture sector contributes to more than 10 percent of GDP and provide jobs for 16 percent of Tunisians. (end) ksj.bs
