Countries update daily COVID-19 tallies

KUWAIT, June 17 (KUNA) -- Governments around the world announced their daily coronavirus updates on Thursday as they continue to battle the impacts of the deadly pandemic.
Qatar reported two virus-induced deaths and 127 infections in the past 24 hours, with a further 208 recoveries.
The Ministry of Health stated that the death toll increased to 581, and infections climbed to 220,325, while a total 217,758 people have recovered since the virus outbreak.
Bahrain's death toll rose to 1,271 after recording 12 deaths today, along with 547 new infections.
Its Ministry of Health said that 250,586 patients in total have recovered from the virus, after 1,460 were cured today.
Tunisia's death toll grew to 13,792, after reporting 71 daily deaths.
The Ministry of Health recorded new 2,379 infections out of 7,450 conducted tests in the past 24 hours, to increase the total infections to 376,691, while 328,637 patients were cured since the pandemic started.
Syria reported six new deaths, and 45 infections over the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health stated that the total recoveries have reached 21,709 after adding ten recovered patients today, while the total casualties have climbed to 1,832, and the caseload to 24,991 since the outbreak of the virus.
Spain recorded 19 new casualties and 4,197 infections from the virus over the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health said that the total deaths rose to 80,634, and the caseload to 3,753,228 since the beginning of the pandemic. (pickup previous) kt.mys
