Sudan calls on Israel to stop violence against Palestinians in Jerusalem

KHARTOUM, May 1 (KUNA) -- Sudan urged the Israeli occupation forces to stop all the attacks and provocative measures against the Palestinian people in the city of Jerusalem, said the Sudanese foreign ministry.
According to a statement issued by the foreign ministry, Sudan condemned the repeated attacks by the Israeli police against worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan and the escalation of hate speech.
Sudan called on the Israeli government to assume its full responsibility and per international and humanitarian law to provide protection for Palestinian civilians and stop the campaign of hatred, racism, and violence against them.
Moreover, Sudan reaffirmed its position on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, in particular their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions.
