1979 -- Kuwait cuts diplomatic relations with Egypt and joins Arab countries in economically boycotting it after its signing of Camp David Treaty.
1985 -- Assassination attempt made against Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah daily Ahmad Al-Jarrallah.
2000 - Al-Arabi SC wins Kuwait Amir 38th Football Cup after beating Al-Tadhamun SC with a golden goal.
2001 - Al-Salmiya SC wins Kuwait Amir 39th Football Cup after defeating Kazma SC 2-0.
2013 -- Novelist Saud Al-Sanousi wins the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in its sixth year for the Bamboo Stalk novel.
