NEW DELHI, April 19 (KUNA) -- India said on Monday that 1,619 people succumbed to COVID-19 while 273,810 new positive cases were registered from different parts of the country in a span of 24 hours.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that fatalities due to COVID-19 mounted to 178,769 as the total positive cases rose to 15,061,919.
The ministry stated that 12,953,821 people recovered so far from the pandemic as it spread to 35 states. (end)
