Tunisia: 78 COVID-19 deaths, 2,199 infections

TUNIS, April 17 (KUNA) -- Tunisia reported 78 deaths attributed to coronavirus, while 2,199 people returned positive results over the past 24 hours, the health ministry said Saturday.
The North African nation has registered 283,976 COVID-19 cases and 9,717 deaths since the start of the outbreak, the ministry's figures showed.
The ministry noted that 234,012 people have recovered from the virus, however 2,333 are in medical treatment, among them 462 in the intensive care unit and 140 patients using ventilators. (end) ksj.mb
