All waiting ships complete passage at Suez Canal Saturday

CAIRO, April 3 (KUNA) -- Ships awaiting passage at Suez Canal resumed and completed their travel route on Saturday, after the incident of the EVER GIVEN vessel that ran aground since March 23. According to Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Chief Lieutenant General Osama Rabei, the number of ships that were waiting to pass at the canal's northern and southern entrances is 422, carrying 26 million tons.
The last batch for waiting ships, totaling 61 had completed passing today, as well as another 24 new ships, he said. (end) asm.ag
