Arab coalition intercepts Houthi-fired missile, drone

JEDDAH, March 8 (KUNA) -- The Arab coalition supporting legitimate Yemeni government announced Monday night that its forces had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards civilian targets in the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait.
In a press statement aired by the Saudi Press Agency, the coalition pointed that it has also shot down an explosive drone launched by the Houthis towards the southern region of Saudi Arabia earlier today.
The Saudi-led coalition stressed that it will respond to the Houthi attacks in line with international law.
On Sunday, Saudi Arabia derailed a drone assault on oil reservoirs at Ras Tanura Port and a ballistic missile attack on a residential compound of workers of the country's energy giant Aramco in Dhahran city. (end) nso.sam.ibi
