TEHRAN, March 3 (KUNA) -- Iran has recorded 7,975 daily confirmed coronavirus cases and 81 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Saturday.
The new figures raise the total number of cases to over 1.65 million and deaths to 60,353, health authorities said, adding that recoveries have risen to nearly 1.41 million.
These figures represent the third wave to have hit the country since the start of the deadly global pandemic's outbreak. (end)
