Arab coalition destroys drone fired by Houthis against Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH, March 3 (KUNA) -- The Arab coalition supporting legitimate Yemeni government said Wednesday its forces destroyed a drone launched by the outlawed Houthi militias to deliberately inflict damage among civilians in southern Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis fired the explosive-laden drone to "deliberately and systematically target populated buildings and civilians south of Saudi Arabia," coalition spokesman Cololen Turki Al-Malki was quoted by the Saudi press agency as saying.
He said the repeated attempts by the Houthis to fire drones and ballistic missiles were "continuous violations of international humanitarian law to attack populated gatherings and threatening lives of hundreds of civilians." The Saudi-led coalition, he added, would take necessary measures to protect civilians, and deter the Houthis in line with international humanitarian law. (end) nso.bs
