KUWAIT, March 3 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace, Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali gave His Highness the Amir a commemorative shield from Qatar celebrating the opening of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor in the fellow GCC nation.
The Defense Minister briefed His Highness the Amir on the Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor project, one of the major and important infrastructure projects in Qatar.
His Highness the Amir expressed great pride and appreciation towards the Qatari government and people for naming the project after the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He affirmed that this gesture would deepen and solidify the strong and historic relations linking the two brotherly nations especially during the era of Qatari Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. (end) gta
