Iran sees further 8,103 coronavirus cases, 69 deaths

TEHRAN, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Iran has recorded 8,103 daily confirmed coronavirus cases and 69 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Friday.
The new figures raise the total number of cases to over 1.6 million and deaths to 59,899, health authorities said, adding that recoveries have risen to nearly 1.38 million.
These figures represent the third wave to have hit the country since the start of the deadly global pandemic's outbreak. (end) mw.sd
