CAIRO, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Arab Parliament President Adel Al-Asoumi congratulated on Thursday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the government, parliament and people of Kuwait on the occasion of the National Day and the 30th anniversary of liberation.
In a statement, Al-Asoumi praised Kuwait's "pioneering democratic achievements that helped in establishing a modern state and witness progress in all fields."
"This progress enhanced Kuwait's position and position its active presence in the Arab, regional and international surrounding," he noted.
Al-Asoumi stressed that "the comprehensive development in the State of Kuwait represents a pioneering model that can be emulated, praising the "balanced diplomacy of Kuwait, its wise policies, its supportive stances to enhance joint Arab action, and its defense of Arab issues in all regional and international forums."
In the same context, he noted that Kuwait's National Day and the anniversary of liberation "embody the meanings of loyalty and belonging of the Kuwaiti people to their country and their desire of raising its name high in all fields."
Al-Asoumi expressed his wishes for the State of Kuwait, its leadership and people, of prosperity, progress, security and safety. ( end)
