France, Germany, Britain concerned about Iran's nuclear acts

PARIS, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- France, Germany and Britain on Tuesday expressed great sorrow that Iran began suspending the additional protocol and transparent measures as of today, within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) of Iran's nuclear agreement.
In a joint statement, the three countries' foreign ministers said the measures taken by Iran are a new violation of its commitment to the JCPOA and reduce significantly monitoring guarantees by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The statement stresses risks due to the decision that will restrict the IAEA from reaching key sites and getting information relating to the guarantees.
It called on Iran to stop and cancel all measures that reduce transparency to ensure full and appropriate cooperation with the IAEA.
The three countries confirmed that their goal aims to back ongoing diplomatic efforts so as to find a solution through negotiations allowing the return of Iran and the United States to full commitment to the nuclear deal, according to the statement. (end) mjz.maa.hm
