RIYADH, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia will extend COVID-19 restrictions for another 20 days in an attempt to curb the spread of the virus, an Interior Ministry source said.
He was quoted by the official news agency as saying the procedures stipulate that social events should have 20 persons maximum, as well as closure of cinemas, indoor entertainment centers, shopping centers, while restaurants and cafes will only offer take out starting 10:00 p.m.
He urged the public to abide by the new restrictions, specially in relation to social events and funerals.
The Interior ministry announced on February 3 new restrictions that would last for 10 days, including cessation of entertainment activities, closure of cinema theaters and banning restaurants and coffee shops from offering seating areas. (end)
