KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) --

1961 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Salem signed a decree regulating documentation of official documents and papers.

1987 -- Abdulwahhab Al-Othman, a renowned skipper, passed away at the age of 82. The late Al-Othamn was named "Sheikh Al-Nuwakhtha" because he sailed to most ports in India's West coast and is considered a reference to history of sail ships.

2000 -- Hamad Al-Saqer Specialist Center opened its doors to offer primary health care. Construction and equipment cost around two million Kuwaiti Dinars (KD).

2001 -- His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah formed Kuwait's 20th government, consisting of 15 Ministers, including four MPs.

2004 -- Kuwait hosted the first coordination meeting of the National Assemblies and Shura Councils in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

2005 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree over inspection of illegal weapons, ammunition and explosives.

2012 -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah formed Kuwait's 30th government, consisting of 15 ministers including one MP. A ruling by the Constitutional Court however dissolved the parliament, triggering the government's resignation on July 18.

2018 -- Kuwait hosted an international conference for the reconstruction of Iraq and participants pledged USD 30 billion. Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah announced a contribution of USD two billion, half in loans and the rest for reconstruction investment.

2019 -- Kuwait won His Highness the Amir Shooting Championship, winning nine medals. (end) bs
