Austria confirms 1,577 new cases of COVID-19

VIENNA, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Austria announced on Thusday the registration of 1,577 cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of registered cases to 429,139.
The Health Ministry said, in a statement on its website, that more than 404,000 people have recovered from the virus so far, while the number of recorded deaths has reached 8,138.
The lockdown ended after 44 days, as markets and mosques have reopened, as well as the gradual return of schools according to specific restrictions and conditions. (end) mah.nhq
