VIENNA, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- Austria registered on Wednesday 1,641 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing the number of total confirmed infections to 408,781.
The Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection said in an online statement that roughly four million tests were conducted, indicating that over 386,000 recovered, whereas the death toll hit 7,564.
Austria started to implement stricter measures to combat COVID-19, therefore its lockdown extended until February 7. (end)
