Libyan parties agree on procedural steps on sovereign posts

BOUZNIKA, Morocco, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Libya's House of Representatives and High Council of State have agreed on some procedural steps regarding the sovereign posts during the meeting concluded on Saturday in the Moroccan coastal city of Bouznika.
The two parties approved the formation and nomination of working teams to take charge of the procedural steps on the sovereign positions, a final communique issued by the gathering said.
These teams will prepare post application forms and invite candidates to submit their papers, it added.
The statement stressed need to ensure a fair representation of people of all provinces in the key posts.
The candidates can submit their applications from January 26 to February 2, it said, pointing to readiness of the two sides to assume their responsibilities if the political dialogue efforts fail to achieve this gain.
The sovereign posts include governor of the central bank, president of the administrative control authority, head of the national anti-corruption body, chairman of Libya's high election commission, president of the supreme court and attorney general. (end) mry.mmj.hm
