GCC, Afghanistan sign memo on mutual consultation

RIYADH, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf and Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar on Thursday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual consultation on various domains.
The memo details the mechanism of consultations in the political, economic and communication fields, the GCC Secretariat General said in a press statement.
Al-Hajraf said the MoU mirrors the GCC keenness on strengthening relations with all countries and global blocs to achieve common interests.
Ahead of the signing ceremony, Al-Hajraf and Atmar held talks over joint cooperation and the situation in Afghanistan as well as international and regional developments. (end) mdm.hm
