KUWAIT, Jan 20 (KUNA) --

1962 -- Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah opens Kuwait's first Constituent Assembly, which he said would place the foundation stone of the ruling system in the country.

2004 -- Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum opens to be a living tribute on steadfastness of the Kuwaiti people and resistance against the Iraqi occupiers.

2008 -- The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training opens its construction-training center in Sabahiya, which can contain 1,400 students.

2009 -- The World Bank opens an office in Kuwait.

2012 -- Kuwait national team wins Kuwait's international athletics games for the disabled, winning 15 gold, 23 silver and 21 bronze medals. (end) gta
