Defense minister examines Kuwait Army' Logistics and Supply

KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah on Tuesday paid an inspection visit to the Logistics and Supply Authority -- accompanied by Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fahad Abdulrahman Al-Nasser and several senior officers.
On his arrival, Deputy Premier was received by Assistant Chief of the General Staff of the Supply and Logistics Authority, Brigadier General Khaled Bilal Al-Obaidi, and a number of the Authority's officers. He welcomed the deputy premier and expressed his appreciation of this visit, which reflected Sheikh Hamad's keenness on his duties towards the ministry and Kuwait that will help all authority's workers to provide maximum efforts and creativity.
Also during the tour, the deputy premier listened to a specific briefing of the authority's duties and tasks that are related to supporting different Kuwait Army's units.
Moreover, the minister inspected several warehouses and storages in the authority to have a good idea of the amount of supplies stored and strategic reserves, and also to have a background of the authority's mechanism in supplying materials.
He also conveyed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's greetings and appreciation to all the workers and employees of the authority, as he also relayed salutes from His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, applauding the personnel vital role in providing the army with all its necessary needs, especially in the current extraordinary circumstances.
