US records 198,218 new coronavirus cases, at least 3,286 deaths

WASHINGTON, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- The US recorded 198,218 new coronavirus cases and 3,286 new deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The tally showed that the confirmed cases nationwide reached 23,754,315 and at least 395,785 deaths.
Furthermore, 126,139 people are currently hospitalized with coronavirus in the US, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This comes as at least 31,161,075 vaccine doses have been distributed and at least 12,279,180 doses of the vaccine have been administered, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (end) si.rk
