Nine covid patients lose life in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Nine patients who suffered from infection with the novel coronavirus passed away in Iraq past 24 hours, the local ministry health said on Sunday.
The department said in a statement there were 645 new infection cases with the virus raising the caseload to 608,232.
It added that there were also 1,531 new recovery cases in the nation 17 governorates, adding that the death toll stood at 12,944 and recoveries overall count at 569,429. (end) ahh.rk
