KUWAIT, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Health said Saturday that 250 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall recoveries to 145,380.
Meanwhile, 172 people tested positive for the respiratory illness, taking the tally of infections to 149,449, the ministry's spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA.
Three more virus-induced fatalities took the death toll to 929, he said.
The new lab-confirmed cases were based on 2,132 swaps which were conducted over the past 24 hours and took the overall tests to 1,241,264.
A total of 3,140 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals, including 36 ICU occupants, Dr. Al-Sanad went on.
He reminded the citizens and residents of the need to maintain the safety precautions, including social distancing, and follow up the new recommendations of the Ministry of Health via its website. (end)
