WASHINGTON, Dec 4 (KUNA) -- The US set a record number of new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours as the hospitalizations are also at all time highs.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 217,664 new coronavirus cases and 2,879 related deaths.
The tally showed that the confirmed cases nationwide reached 14,139,577 and at least 276,325 deaths.
Furthermore, there are 101,000 people currently hospitalized with coronavirus in the US, according to the Covid Tracking Project, as both case and hospitalization counts are all-time highs.
