NEW DELHI, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- India said on Thursday that 526 people succumbed to COVID-19 as 35,551 new cases were registered from different parts of the country in a span of 24 hours.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the fatalities due to the coronavirus surged to 138,648 and the total number of COVID-19 cases mounted to 9,534,964.
The health ministry said that 8,973,373 people recovered from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the worst hit Indian states. (end)
