French PM: European regulatory to approve COVID-19 vaccine soon

PARIS, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- French Prime Minister Jean Castex said, Wednesday, that he expects the European regulatory to approve the COVID-19 vaccine at the end of December.
Castex told BFM TV that the health authorities are able to vaccinate 100 million people, adding that it is still necessary for the largest possible number of French to agree to the vaccination.
Regarding Christmas celebrations in December, the Prime Minister said that special rules will be issued according to a specific protocol to limit the spread of the virus.
Earlier today, the UK has become the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine for widespread use. (end) mjz.aa
