Kuwait sees 357 new COVID-19 cases, one fatality

KUWAIT, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait listed 357 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday to raise the total 142,992, while one fatality recorded over the past 24 hours upped its death toll from the outbreak to 881, the health ministry said.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 4,486, with 82 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, who revealed that some 5,572 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,101,146.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 554 more people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 137,625.
He went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (pickup previous) mak.sd
