NEW DELHI, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- India announced on Sunday that 496 people succumbed to COVID-19 while 41,810 fresh cases were registered from different parts of the country in a span of 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that fatalities due to the coronavirus mounted to 136,696 while the total number of COVID-19 registered cases surged to 9,392,919.
The health ministry said that 8,802,267 people recuperated from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the worst hit Indian states. (end)
