PLO calls for ending historical injustice against Palestinians

GAZA, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Saturday called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian cause and end historical injustice against the Palestinian people.
On the eve of marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Ahmad Abu Houli, a member of PLO's Executive Committee, urged the international community to press Israel to implement its UN resolutions relevant to the Palestinian cause mainly the 194th resolution.
The resolution stresses the refugees' right to return to their homes they forcibly left, and enable Palestinian to establish a full sovereign independent state on their land occupied in 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He called on the international community to support financially the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to help it offer a sustainable and permanent support so as to get out from its consecutive financial crisis and serve the refugees until they return to their homes.
The UN General Assembly approved in 1977 that the 29th of November is the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, and their legitimate and Inalienable rights endorsed by the international charters.
The Palestinian rights to self-determination, and the return to their homes they forcibly left since 1948, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state top these legitimate rights. (end) wab.asm.hm
