VIENNA, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Austrian authorities announced Friday that they recorded 4,954 new coronavirus cases raising the total number of confirmed infections to 269,736.
More than two million tests for the virus were conducted, while more than 196,000 cases recovered since the start of the pandemic and deaths reached 2,886, said the country's health ministry in an online statement.
Earlier this month, Austria re-imposed restrictive measures across the country that will remain in effect until December to try limit the spread of the virus.(end)
