Japan condemns Houthi attack on Saudi oil facility

TOKYO, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Japan on Thursday strongly denounced a recent attack by the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia's crude oil facility.
Foreign Ministry Press Secretary Tomoyuki Yoshida said in a statement, "Peace and stability in the Middle East is important matter for international society.
"Stable oil supply from the Middle East region is indispensable for the prosperity of the global economy including Japan. The Japanese government strongly denounces such an attack and commends efforts of Saudi Arabia for ensuring sustainable oil supply.
"Japan remains committed to continuously making efforts, in cooperation with countries concerned, so as to maintain and reinforce peace and stability in the Middle East," said Yoshida.
On Monday, the Saudi government announced that a crude oil facility in the north of Jeddah suffered a terror attack by the Houthis, which caused fire in a fuel tank. (end) mk.rk
