France Covid-19 daily infections at low ebb

PARIS, Nov 23 (KUNA) - France's Ministry of Health reported 4,452 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus (Covid19), the lowest daily figure recorded over the past two months. The country's caseload stands at 2,144,660 while deaths from the illness surged by 500 to 49,232, the Ministry said in a press release tonight.
It attributed the decline in daily infections to the strict lockdown measures being in place since November 5 until December 1 with the exception of essential services, schools, food outlets and pharmacies. (end) mjz.gb
