NATO chief says he will work closely with Biden

BRUSSELS, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg Monday told US President-elect Joe Biden that he looked forward to working very closely with him to further strengthen the bond between North America and Europe and to prepare next yearآ’s meeting of NATO leaders.
This was expressed in a phone call between Stoltenberg and Biden earlier today during which the NATO chief congratulated Biden on his election as the next President of the United States and Kamala Harris as the next Vice-President.
Further, Stoltenberg thanked President-elect Biden for being a long-standing supporter of NATO and the transatlantic relationship, noted a NATO statement tonight. (end) nk.mt
