MADRID, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- At least 512 patients succumbed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and 25,886 people tested positive for the disease in 24 hours, the Spanish Ministry of Health said on Monday.
On its website, the ministry said that the overall infections and death toll surged to 1,582,616 and 43,131 respectively.
Earlier in the day, the government in Madrid announced the closure of its borders for 10 days starting December 4 so as to decrease the infections before the New Year holidays. (end)
