KUWAIT, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Monday held a military funeral for seven martyrs who had sacrificed their lives during the Iraqi invasion of 1990, and whose identified remains have been recently received from Iraq.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, military and security leadership, led the masses of mourners.
The Minister of Defense conveyed to the martyrs' families the sincere condolences of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said a statement issued by the Directorate of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior.
Yesterday, Kuwait identified the remains of seven Kuwaiti prisoners of war (POWs) or missing persons by conducting DNA tests. (end) ays.aa
