US records almost 143,000 new coronavirus cases

WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- The US recorded almost 143,000 new cases in the past 24 hours and at least 900 deaths.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 142,732 new coronavirus cases and 921 deaths.
The tally showed that the confirmed cases nationwide reached 12,246,849 and at least 256,782 deaths.
Furthermore, a record 83,870 people are currently hospitalized with coronavirus, according to the Covid Tracking Project (CTP).
The US ranks first globally in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths. (end) si
