EU: differences still remain over post Brexit trade deal

BRUSSELS, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- The European Unionآ’s chief negotiator with the UK over their future trade relationship, Michel Barnier, said on Monday that "fundamental divergences" remain after weekend talks held over the matter.
"Time is short. Fundamental divergences still remain, but we are continuing to work hard for a deal," he said in twitter message.
Negotiations are scheduled to continue online today with his UK counterpart David Forst and their teams.
Barnier is currently undergoing a seven-day quarantine after one of the negotiators on his team tested positive for COVID-19 last week. (end) nk.sd
