Seven Kuwaiti martyrs to be laid to rest Mon. - MoI
KUWAIT, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ministry of Interior (MoI) said "the seven martyrs of the homeland," whose remains were identified earlier Sunday, will be laid to rest at Al-Sulaibkhat cemetery tomorrow afternoon.
The service will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh as well as other military and security top brass, according to a statement from the MoI General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.
The General Administration of Criminal Evidence earlier identified the remains seven Kuwaiti nationals who went missing during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990 after conducting DNA tests.
Director-General of the National Committee of POWs and Missing Affairs Rabie Al-Adsani said said that these prisoners had been arrested in 1990, noting that intense efforts during the past period, and this information was presented to the technical sub-committee emanating from the tripartite committee that decided examination of the two signatories by the Iraqi technical team.
