Kuwait sees 718 new COVID-19 cases, three deaths

KUWAIT, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Friday tallied 718 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours to up the total to 135,650, while a trio of fatalities pushed its death toll from the outbreak to 833, the health ministry said.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 8,473, with 110 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 7,834 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,001,250 so far.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 751 people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 126,344.
The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (end) mak.nam
