Second lockdown in Austria in Nov.

VIENNA, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- Austria will be mostly closing down for the duration of November in an attempt to curb the exploding numbers of coronavirus cases.
Including a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the measures, announced by Chancellor Sebastian Kurz during a press conference on Saturday afternoon, will come into force on November 2 and last for the whole month.
Under the strict measures, bars and restaurants are due to be closed entirely, but shops and schools will stay open. All events except professional sports are cancelled. Theatres, museums, and leisure facilities will be closed, with the exception of non-team sports outside.
Vice-chancellor Werner Kogler said during the conference that this was important so that people still had the chance to stay active.
However, restaurants, bars and cafes will be allowed to offer delivery and pick-up services. Hotels are not allowed to take in tourists. (end) amg.mt
