NEW DELHI, Oct 30 (KUNA) -- Indian health authorities said on Friday that 563 people succumbed to COVID-19 as 48,648 positive cases were reported from different parts of the country in the last 24 hours.
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the death toll due to coronavirus rose to 121,090 as the total number of positive cases spiked to 8,088,851.
According to the health ministry 7,373,375 people recuperated from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are the worst hit Indian states. (end)
