NEW DELHI, Oct 29 -- (KUNA) Indian government sources said on Thursday that 517 people died to COVID-19 while 49,881 new cases were registered from across the country in a span of 24 hours.
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the death toll due to coronavirus mounted to 120,527 as the total number of positive cases rose to 8,040,203.
According to the health ministry 7,315,989 people recovered from the pandemic as it spread to 35 Indian states.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are the worst hit Indian states. (end)
